full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Demolition & Abatement Estimator to oversee complex projects involving structural demolition, selective interior demolition, and hazardous material abatement. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for complex projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of specialty trades, excellent math and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, vendors, and clients. This is a key position that supports competitive bidding and successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Review all documents, drawings, pricing, bonds, insurance and minority reporting Bid all jobs, all pricing, all scopes Scope reviews with general contractors Package together with project manager for kick off meeting once project is awarded Assist Project Manager, if needed, with full close out of projects Estimate 1 - 2 jobs per week
Software Proficiency:
Utilize construction management software including: Microsoft Project Primavera P6 Procore Sage 300 CRE Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Strong understanding of demolition and abatement. Experience bidding jobs in downtown Boston and in suburbs Flexible with time commitment, possible weekend work
