Job Description
Position Summary A construction leader is seeking a Chief Estimator to lead and elevate the estimating function. This role is responsible for setting estimating standards, guiding pricing strategy, and ensuring competitive, profitable bids across multiple project types. The Chief Estimator will lead both people and processes while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop the estimating team Standardize estimating processes and implement best practices Review and approve high-value and complex estimates Drive bid/no-bid decisions and pricing strategies Build relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Monitor market costs and adjust estimating assumptions accordingly Requirements 10+ years of estimating experience within civil or site construction Proven leadership experience managing estimating teams Exceptional analytical, communication, and decision-making skills Track record of winning profitable work Preferred Background Experience leading estimating efforts for heavy infrastructure projects.
