Job Description

Are you a meticulous, detail-oriented professional with a passion for precision and a deep understanding of commercial construction? We're seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our growing team, working on projects ranging from $10 million to $60 million.
Responsibilities:
Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to define a clear and detailed scope of work Perform accurate quantity take-offs and develop thorough cost estimates, project budgets, and construction schedules Communicate and build strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate proposals Attend preconstruction meetings to gather project information and build connections with architects, engineers, and clients Collaborate with project teams to prepare and submit comprehensive, competitive bid proposals Suggest value engineering strategies when appropriate Develop and maintain a database of unit costs, historical pricing, and vendor contacts
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as an estimator for a commercial general contractor on public projects (REQUIRED) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines Ability to manage multiple estimates at various stages of development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred (Nice to Have): Field experience in commercial construction Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or related field Experience with Blue Beam, Procore, and other estimating software
