• About Elevated Builds Elevated Builds is an insurance-focused reconstruction company that rebuilds homes after water, fire, and storm losses across the Carolinas. We work closely with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and our mitigation partners to get families back into their homes the right way. Our reputation is built on accurate estimates, quality work, and keeping customers informed from the first call to the final walkthrough. The Role The Construction Customer Coordinator is the homeowner's main point of contact from the moment a job comes in until the final check clears. You'll take the sales and customer relationship work off our estimator's plate so they can focus on building accurate, well-documented scopes. You'll sign the work, keep the homeowner informed while the estimate and claim move forward, stay connected once construction starts, and make sure the company gets paid. This is a role for a self-starter who enjoys people, follows up without being reminded, and can explain an insurance claim to a stressed homeowner in plain language. What You'll Do Sales and Signing the Job Respond quickly to new leads, including referrals from mitigation partners, agents, adjusters, and past customers. Meet homeowners on site, explain how the insurance reconstruction process works, and set clear expectations on timelines and next steps. Present Elevated Builds, walk customers through the contract and authorization paperwork, and get the job signed. Build and maintain referral relationships with insurance agents, property managers, and other local sources. Estimate and Claim Phase Serve as the go-between for the estimator and the homeowner so the estimator can stay focused on scope. Schedule site inspections and adjuster meetings and make sure the estimator has what they need from the customer (claim number, policy info, photos, access). Follow up with the customer on a regular, even when there's no news, so they never have to wonder where things stand. Help customers understand estimates, supplements, and claim status in plain language, and route technical scope questions to the estimator. Help customers get in touch with project manager for selections (flooring, cabinets, paint, fixtures) and help document their choices before construction starts. Construction Phase Hand the project off to the Project Manager with a complete customer file: selections, contact preferences, access details, and any concerns the homeowner has raised. Visit active jobsites periodically to check in with the homeowner and see progress firsthand. Keep communication open between the customer, the Project Manager, and the office, and raise problems early before they turn into complaints. Attend final walkthroughs with PM and help close out punch lists. Collections Collect the homeowner's deductible according to company policy and the signed contract. Track insurance payments on every job and follow up with carriers and customers until funds are received. Coordinate the check endorsement process when payments are issued jointly to the homeowner and a mortgage company, including mortgage company paperwork and inspection requests. Keep accurate payment records and notify the owner promptly of any collections issues. Administration Keep the CRM and job files up to date with every customer contact, document, and payment. (Dash) Follow company procedures for first contact, handoffs, and customer documentation. Request reviews and referrals from satisfied customers at project close. What We're Looking For Required 2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or client-facing work, preferably in construction, restoration, roofing, or insurance. Strong communication skills and a calm, professional presence with homeowners going through a stressful time. Highly organized and self-directed, with a track record of following up consistently without being prompted. Comfortable asking for signatures and payments, and handling tough conversations with confidence and tact. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel across our NC and SC service area. Comfortable with a smartphone, CRM software, email, and digital document signing. Preferred Experience with insurance claims, including working with adjusters, supplements, and mortgage company check processes. Familiarity with Xactimate estimates (you won't write them, but you should be able to read and explain one). Basic knowledge of residential construction and the reconstruction sequence. Existing relationships with insurance agents, property managers, or restoration companies in the Charlotte area. What Success Looks Like New leads are contacted the same day and signed at a strong conversion rate. Every active customer hears from us on a regular, set schedule, and customer complaints stay low. The estimator spends their time estimating, not chasing homeowners. Deductibles and insurance funds are collected on time with minimal aged receivables. Customers leave five-star reviews and send referrals. Why Join Us A growing company where you'll help shape how we serve customers. Direct access to ownership and real influence on process. Earning potential tied to the jobs you sign and the customers you take care of.
