Job Description

Are you someone who catches the details others miss, enjoys working with numbers and data, and takes pride in getting things right the first time? We are looking for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and organized Estimating Assistant to support our estimating and project lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with Excel, reviewing plans, analyzing pricing, identifying discrepancies, and keeping project information accurate and organized.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare accurate builder proposals by reviewing plans, researching product pricing, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Use advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, macros, pivot tables, data analysis, and customized charts. Coordinate with builders from project kickoff through completion to ensure specifications and selections are aligned. Maintain job management systems, estimate records, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Review and audit pricing contracts for accuracy and resolve discrepancies according to department protocols. Maintain high data integrity across estimates, contracts, documentation, and project information.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating or a similar role Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including advanced formulas and charts Construction industry experience preferred Strong computer, technology, and software skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills Strong professional work ethic and ability to work effectively within a team Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy Ability to prioritize and perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment The ideal candidate is someone who naturally double-checks their work, spots inconsistencies, stays organized, and takes ownership of the details.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typing, writing, and analyzing data. Moving, carrying and lifting equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. Moving throughout the building to perform daily tasks. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Pay:

$43,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
