Job Description Job Description Job Description Visual Millwork & Fixture Mfg., Inc. is seeking an experienced Architectural Millwork & Fixture Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for custom commercial millwork, casework, store fixtures, displays, and architectural fabrication projects. This is not a general construction estimating position. The ideal candidate has experience reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents and developing estimates for custom-fabricated wood, metal, glass, solid-surface, acrylic, and related components.

Responsibilities Include:

Review architectural drawings, specifications, bid packages, and scope documents. Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs. Estimate custom millwork, cabinetry, casework, store fixtures, displays, and architectural components. Develop material, hardware, labor, finishing, subcontractor, freight, installation, and other project costs. Solicit and review vendor/subcontractor pricing when necessary. Identify missing information, scope gaps, discrepancies, and potential cost risks in bid documents. Prepare RFIs or obtain clarification when drawings/specifications are incomplete. Work with project management, engineering/drafting, purchasing, and production to develop accurate estimates. Evaluate alternate materials or fabrication methods for value-engineering opportunities. Maintain historical cost information and use prior project data to improve estimating accuracy. Assist with bid revisions, change orders, and scope changes as needed.
