For over 21 years we've helped customers, businesses and institutions across the region protect what matters most, and we're growing our estimating and engineering team to keep pace. The Role We're looking for an Estimator / Engineer to bridge the gap between our sales team and our field technicians. You'll turn customer requirements into accurate, well-documented quotes

• and once a project is won, you'll translate that quote into a clean, actionable project plan our project managers and technicians can execute without guesswork. This isn't a one-size-fits-all estimating role. You'll learn to right-size your engineering effort
• a quick add-on for an existing customer doesn't need the same documentation as a multi-site rollout or an RFP-driven project
• and you'll be the one who makes that call. What You'll Do Review site surveys, customer requirements, and (when applicable) RFP/RFQ documents to scope the right manufacturer platform and technology stack Build complete, accurate quotes
• equipment, cabling, labor, permits, and all associated costs Produce CCTV field-of-view layouts and other supporting drawings Determine the right level of engineering documentation for each project and assemble it
• from a quick scope summary up to a full submittal package with schedules, riser diagrams, and install/programming guides Set up and maintain clean projects (tasks, checklists, forms) so field teams have what they need before they start Coach sales reps on the quality of customer information and site survey documentation Support project risk resolution at weekly technical meetings Own the product and labor catalog What We're Looking For Strong technical aptitude•comfortable reading site surveys, specs, and RFPs Detail-oriented, with a track record of accurate, complete work under deadline pressure Ability to work independently and make sound technical calls with minimal oversight Comfortable presenting solutions directly to customers A collaborative style•you'll work daily with sales, project management, and field technicians Preferred background: Experience with low-voltage security systems (cameras, access control, intrusion, fire) Estimating or take-off experience in construction, AV, or security Familiarity with Salesforce (or another CRM) and Fieldwire (or similar project documentation tools) Coursework or a degree in Electronics, IT, Construction Management, or a related field
