Cote Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team in a full-time role. We are a family-owned design-build company specializing in residential and light commercial construction throughout Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts, with a focus on additions, new construction, windows, doors, siding, and related renovation projects. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for reviewing plans, specifications, photos, and site conditions to prepare accurate and competitive estimates. This position works closely with ownership throughout the preconstruction process to develop scopes of work, coordinate pricing, and produce professional proposals for prospective projects. Responsibilities Review architectural plans, specifications, site photos, and project details. Perform material and labor takeoffs. Obtain pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates. Develop clear scopes of work and proposals. Communicate with ownership, clients, vendors, and subcontractors as needed. Support estimating accuracy, profitability, and consistency. Use Buildertrend within the estimating and project workflow. Qualifications Previous experience as a construction estimator, preferably in residential or light commercial construction. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and trade pricing. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines. Experience with Buildertrend is preferred.
