Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend pre-bid meetings or perform site visits to gather necessary information for project estimation.
  • Review project documents including, but not limited to specifications, drawings, and contracts to understand project requirements.
  • Perform takeoff of quantities for all work items.
  • Develop an execution plan including cost estimates for safety, mobilization, labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and management.
Estimation:
o Safety plan and requirements o Mobilization and demobilization costs o Warehouse expenses related to the project o Labor and crew size costs required for completion o Phasing plan based on estimated production rates o Duration in calendar days to complete the project o Equipment necessary for completion o Subcontractor costs essential for completion o Materials required, including cost, delivery and onsite storage o Management costs for onsite supervision and reporting o Markup for project completion costs, using overhead and profit percentages provided by the KGS President
  • Upon project award, provide all necessary permit documents to the Project Coordinator.
  • Monitor production, costs and profits on projects in progress. Identify any potential issues early on and make necessary adjustments to ensure all projects generate profits for the company and/or identify issues with the estimating process.
  • Manage or assist the Project Coordinator with the completion of project submittal packages.
  • Provide project financials required to enter into Construction Management software.
  • Schedule a project start-up meeting with the assigned field superintendent, providing all necessary project documentation.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the superintendent to review production, cost budgets, and project progress.
  • Attend project progress meetings with KGS staff and property management as necessary.
  • Provide financial data for monthly payment applications and review AIA payment applications before submission.
  • Assist in the completion and submission of all project closeout documents.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
