Job Description
Position Overview Ennis Electric Co., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who excels in preparing accurate, competitive estimates for complex electrical construction projects and thrives in a relationship-driven environment. The successful candidate will lead estimating efforts on projects ranging from $5M to $60M, spanning diverse public and institutional sectors, while building strong partnerships with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for large-scale electrical construction projects Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate bids Lead and coordinate the estimating process from concept through submission Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and post-bid negotiations Required Experience & Qualifications Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Estimator or similar role Strong proficiency in: Accubid Classic Accubid Anywhere / Accubid Enterprise Experience estimating projects in the $5M-$60M range
Project Experience Must Include:
Institutional projects Federal, state, and local government work K-12 education facilities Data centers Preferred Qualifications Experience with Vista (Viewpoint Vista ERP) is a strong plus Key Skills & Attributes Outgoing and relationship-driven personality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to develop and maintain long-term client and vendor partnerships High level of organization and attention to detail Strategic thinker with problem-solving mindset Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously Compensation is commensurate upon experience with a competitive salary and bonus structure.
