Job Description

Lead the estimating process from conceptual design through final proposal.

Prepare accurate estimates for HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping projects.

Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents for pricing strategies.

Perform design calculations and assist with equipment and material selection.

Evaluate labor productivity, contingencies, and cost-saving opportunities.

Solicit, review, and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations.

Develop labor budgets for awarded projects.

Build and maintain relationships with contractors, owners, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Attend pre-bid, turnover, and project kickoff meetings.

Support bid tracking, bid reviews, bid bonds, and document procurement.

Mentor and assist Estimator Trainees and promote best practices.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping systems.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.

Solid understanding of plumbing and mechanical codes.

Experience using estimating software such as AutoBid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and similar tools.

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Strategic thinker with exceptional attention to detail.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline, or 10+ years field experience in HVAC, Plumbing, or Mechanical Piping, or 5+ years estimating experience in mechanical construction industry.
