Position Summary The Estimator is responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex manufacturing projects by analyzing customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements. This role works cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Sales to ensure quotes reflect true manufacturing costs and align with business objectives. This position also serves as a customer-facing technical resource, supporting discussions around manufacturability, pricing, and project scope while helping drive profitable growth. Key Responsibilities Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates Collaborate with Manufacturing, Production, and Engineering teams to validate materials, labor, and process assumptions Develop and deliver detailed quotations that align with company pricing and margin goals Analyze discrepancies between quoted and actual costs; recommend adjustments to pricing or processes Maintain accurate estimating data, customer requirements, and quote history within ERP systems Evaluate tooling, fixtures, and equipment requirements and incorporate associated costs into estimates Participate in contract review to ensure alignment between quoted scope and production execution Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements and support manufacturability discussions Support material pricing, cost modeling, and technical problem-solving across departments Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and follow-on business Qualifications Experience in manufacturing estimating, cost analysis, or technical quoting Strong understanding of machining, metal fabrication, or related manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications Experience with ERP systems and cost tracking Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills with both internal teams and customers Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred, not required 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Estimating, or Account Management in a manufacturing environment Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Why Should You Choose Latitude Corp?
