In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining acoustical ceilings in commercial and residential buildings. Your expertise will help create aesthetically pleasing and acoustically optimized environments, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your skills in construction installation, and contribute to high-quality building finishes. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately install acoustical ceiling systems according to specifications. Measure, cut, and assemble ceiling components using hand tools and power tools with precision. Install various types of ceiling tiles, panels, grid systems, and related fixtures following safety protocols. Use ladders safely to reach elevated areas during installation or repairs. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of ceiling systems within the overall construction process. Conduct inspections during installation to verify dimensional accuracy, alignment, and adherence to blueprint specifications. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety standards on-site. Requirements Proven experience in construction or drywall installation with a focus on ceiling systems preferred. Strong knowledge of building material installation techniques including tile masonry, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco, and fixture installation. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints. Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam is a plus. Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately and follow detailed construction plans for remodeling or restoration projects. Experience with gutter installation, flooring installation, tile laying, or masonry is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients or project stakeholders. Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders safely, and stand for extended periods during installation tasks. Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction site work including ladder use and working at heights.
