Responsibilities Perform thorough floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance. Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, carpet cleaners, and floor scrubbers efficiently and safely. Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals and chemical agents according to safety protocols to ensure effective cleaning without environmental impact. Conduct heavy lifting tasks involving janitorial supplies, equipment, and furniture to support ongoing maintenance activities. Maintain detailed records of cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and maintenance activities for accountability and quality assurance. Execute routine custodial tasks including carpet cleaning, floor waxing, and environmental services to uphold hygiene standards. Collaborate with team members to address specific flooring issues promptly and ensure customer service excellence through professional conduct. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with a focus on floor care. Strong knowledge of floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing techniques. Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to environmental safety standards. Familiarity with the use of floor cleaning chemicals and proper handling of chemical agents. Physical strength for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
