Starting at $22/hour + commissions for completing jobs efficiently About the Role 5 Star Richmond is hiring a hands-on Residential Home Performance Technician focused on attic and crawlspace renovations. You will use professional equipment (Krendl machines, Aeroseal systems, and Abatement Technologies duct cleaning machines) to improve home comfort, efficiency, and indoor air quality. Key Responsibilities Operate Krendl machines to remove existing insulation and install new blown-in insulation Install ductwork leads, trunk lines, radiant barrier, attic baffles, and crawlspace vapor barriers Perform Aeroseal duct sealing (seals ductwork from the inside out) Perform full-service duct cleaning with Abatement Technologies equipment Prepare job sites, protect living areas, clean up thoroughly, and follow all safety and quality standards Work efficiently to maximize commission opportunities Requirements Experience with attic/crawlspace work preferred; strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn accepted Ability to work in confined, hot, dusty spaces and lift 50+ lbs Valid driver's license Strong attention to detail, safety focus, and professional attitude Preferred Experience with blown-in insulation, ductwork, Aeroseal, Abatement Technologies equipment, or residential HVAC systems Building science knowledge or related certifications (BPI, RESNET, etc.) Career Advancement Learn all services we offer and how they are performed Assist on advanced attic/crawlspace restoration projects to earn extra commissions Lead jobs as the primary technician Benefits 2 weeks vacation Health, Dental, and Vision Aflac available for supplemental coverage
