Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated A Class Fitter to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for precise metal fabrication, assembly, and installation of structural components on construction sites or within manufacturing environments. Your expertise in welding, blueprint reading, and mechanical fabrication will ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical precision and a proactive approach. Duties Interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to cut, shape, and fit sheet metal and other metal materials. Perform various welding techniques including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas). Operate plasma cutters, gas metal arc welding equipment, and other machining tools to cut, weld, solder, or assemble metal parts with precision. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication of ductwork, structural supports, or custom metal assemblies. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols while handling heavy machinery, power tools, and welding equipment on construction sites or in fabrication shops. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects meet quality standards, deadlines, and client specifications. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols. Demonstrated expertise in welding techniques including

FCAW & MIG.

Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as Tape mesure, squares, center head, & Trimble point for precise steel fabrication. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork assembly, or mechanical fabrication projects. Familiarity with shop math concepts necessary for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Knowledge of construction materials including various metals used in fabrication projects. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, machining tools, soldering equipment, and safety standards. $26.00 - $31.25 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
