Job Description
Overview Age West Industries is a metal fabrication and installation company in Marin County. We build and install stairs, railings, handrails, and custom architectural metalwork for residential and commercial projects around the Bay Area. This is a hands-on job split between our shop and job sites in the field. We're looking for someone who can weld and build, is reliable, takes pride in their work, and is someone the crew wants to work with. Duties Read and work from shop drawings to fabricate metal components accurately TIG and MIG weld to our standard, in the shop and in the field Measure, mark, and cut steel and other metals with hand and power tools Fit up and assemble stairs, railings, handrails, and architectural metalwork Install finished work on job sites, with the crew or on your own Work through the problems that come up when field conditions don't match the drawings Keep your work area and the job site clean, organized, and safe Qualifications Can functionally TIG and MIG weld Real construction or job-site installation experience (not an entry-level or classroom-only role) Handy and mechanically minded, comfortable with hand and power tools Able to read and work from shop drawings Reliable and trustworthy on a job site without someone standing over you Shows up every day, on time, ready to work A reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a good driving record Comfortable working across job sites around the Bay Area Compensation $27 to $32 per hour based on experience and trial period, with a clear path up as you prove yourself.
