Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Assembly Specialist/Ironworker to fabricate and assemble structural steel components according to blueprints and project specifications. This position is responsible for installing girders, columns, and other steel components to create structural frameworks while ensuring proper placement, alignment, and quality. The ideal candidate will have previous structural steel fabrication experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and hands-on experience with bolting, welding, and steel assembly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble iron and structural steel components according to blueprints Install girders, columns, and related components to create structural frameworks Verify the proper placement and alignment of steel components Perform bolting, fitting, welding, and assembly work as required Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, codes, and specifications Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Follow fabrication instructions and established assembly procedures Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and project requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and protocols Participate in safety meetings and help promote a strong safety culture Work closely with supervisors, production teams, and other departments Perform additional duties as needed to support facility operations Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent At least 1-3 years of structural steel fabrication or ironworking experience Experience assembling structural steel components Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings Knowledge of structural steel placement and alignment Experience with bolting, welding, and steel assembly Ability to safely operate hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Professional communication skills Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team Commitment to following all workplace safety requirements Apply today for consideration for this hands-on structural steel fabrication opportunity.
