International Welding & Fabrication is currently hiring experienced Structural Fitters for both day and night shifts . We are looking for dependable, skilled fitters with strong experience in an industrial metal fabrication environment. Job Duties Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components according to specifications Fit beams, columns, braces, plates, angles, channels, and other structural components Accurately measure, cut, bevel, grind, and prepare material for fit-up Use levels, squares, tape measures, combination squares, and other layout tools Tack weld components into position for final welding Verify dimensions, angles, elevations, and alignment prior to welding Operate grinders, cutting torches, saws, and other fabrication tools and equipment Work closely with welders and other shop personnel to complete fabrication projects Maintain quality standards and follow all company safety procedures Requirements Minimum 5 years of structural fitting experience Previous experience in an industrial structural steel/fabrication shop Must be able to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings Must be proficient in structural layout and fit-up Must be able to accurately use a tape measure and common fitting/layout tools Must be able to pass a hands-on skill test and/or written proficiency test Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test Must have a clean record Must be dependable and able to work scheduled overtime Schedule Day and Night Shifts Available (Night Shift differential available) Average hours 4 days a week, 10-hour days.
