Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Welder to join our team on both 1st and 2nd shifts. This dynamic role involves performing high-quality welding and fabrication work to maintain, repair, and improve metal structures and equipment across our manufacturing and maintenance facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in various welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and fabrication skills to ensure safety, efficiency, and excellence in all projects. Responsibilities Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and Stick welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding - SMAW) on diverse metal materials including sheet metal, structural steel, and fabricated components. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately execute welding tasks. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, power tools, and shop math to ensure precise measurements for fabrication and assembly. Operate plasma cutters, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and other welding equipment following AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures or components with mechanical blueprint interpretation skills. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, using hand tools properly, and following all safety guidelines. Collaborate with team members on projects involving machining, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and mechanical fabrication processes. Qualifications Must be 18 years old ASW certification perferred Proven experience in construction site environments or metal fabrication shops with a solid understanding of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, plasma cutting, machining processes, and assembly procedures. Experience working with power tools and hand tools safely within a manufacturing or construction setting. Knowledge of safety protocols specific to welding operations and metal fabrication environments. Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint interpretation and shop math skills necessary for accurate fabrication. Ability to work effectively on both first and second shifts in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship in welding!
