JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture the product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys and aluminum Working knowledge of fixturing and weld setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.) Conventional and precision measuring instruments Process inspection, certification, and documentation Welding equipment maintenance Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools Safety and housekeeping Other duties as requested, directed or assigned by the Supervisor

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A High School diploma, or equivalent, is preferred Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

(PPE): Required to use safety glasses, hearing protection, and wear safety-toed shoes

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Plant environments such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes Exposed to any number of elements, but none present to the extent of being disagreeable Excessive heat in the summertime
