Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder specializing in Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding to join our manufacturing and fabrication team. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, fabricating metal components, and ensuring high-quality welds in accordance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience on construction sites, proficiency with various welding techniques, and a strong understanding of mechanical and blueprint interpretation. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex projects that require precision, safety adherence, and technical expertise. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures. Perform MIG welding using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) process on diverse metal materials, including sheet metal and pipe components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to accurately measure, cut, and assemble metal parts. Fabricate metal structures by cutting, welding, grinding, and assembling components in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Operate plasma cutters, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), TIG welding, and other welding techniques as required. Conduct quality inspections of welds for structural integrity and compliance with safety protocols; perform necessary rework or repairs. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites and fabrication shops. Assist in pipe threading, assembly, machining, and fabrication tasks to support project timelines. Use measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure precise dimensions during fabrication. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on metal fabrication and welding projects. Extensive knowledge of MIG welding techniques along with

welding, and plasma cutting processes. Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with AWS standards for welding quality assurance. Proficiency with measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop operations, pipe threading, machining, and assembly. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and understanding of structural steel requirements. Strong commitment to safety protocols in construction environments; ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings.
