Job Description
About us: We are a family-owned miscellaneous metals company located in the Trooper/Collegeville, PA area, specializing in the fabrication and installation of miscellaneous metals and small structural steel projects. As a full-service metal fabrication shop, we are committed to delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Welder / Ironworker / Installer to join our team. Position Summary The Welder / Ironworker / Installer will work as part of a small field crew to install miscellaneous metals and structural steel components safely, accurately, and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong field experience, welding knowledge, the ability to reliably read drawings, and a commitment to quality work. Key Responsibilities
- Work with a field crew of two to three team members to complete installation projects.
- Weld structural metal components and assemblies using appropriate gas and arc welding equipment.
- Cut, form, fit, and install miscellaneous metals and small structural steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, erection drawings, and project details correctly.
- Use measuring tools, including lasers, tape measures, and chalk lines, to ensure accurate layout and quality control.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment on job sites. Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of steel installation or ironworking experience.
- Minimum of five years of welding experience.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and erection drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical strength and stamina required to perform field installation work.
- Valid driver's license required.
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
