An Iron or Steel Worker installs iron or steel beams, girders or columns that create the structural frame for tall buildings, bridges or other large structures.
This role is primarily responsible for putting together finished and semi-finished goods, assembling components, and joining them to fabricate complete metal products.

Fabricator:
Read job specifications, blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to plan sequence of operations and determine material/machine requirements. Set up and operate fabricating machinery and power/hand tools (such as drill presses, saws, flame cutters, grinders, and metal-cutting machinery) with precision. Measure workpiece dimensions using tape measures, rules, templates, and measuring instruments to verify accuracy against specifications. Perform minor routine machine maintenance (e.g., oiling machines, dies, or workpieces). Conduct product inspections and tests to evaluate quality and performance standards. Assist machine operators with setups, stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished workpieces.

What You'll Bring as a
Preferred Candidate:
2 years of prior experience preferred (not required). Strong reading, basic math, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and use a tape measure, blueprints, CAD drawings, and assembly manuals. Manual dexterity to perform complex, repetitive assembly tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment. Good eyesight (with or without glasses) for working with small parts. Physical capability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lb Ability to use power and hand tools to cut, shim, or make other modifications
