Duties:

• Read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings to determine fabrication requirements
• Operate various tools and equipment such as plasma cutting machines and welding equipment
• Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications
• Perform welding tasks including MIG welding techniques
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, grind, and shape metal
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure finished products meet quality standards
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a fabricator/welder or similar role
• Certification in AWS D1.1 and/or AWS D1.8 and ability to pass in-shop welding test during interview
• Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and engineering drawings
• Strong knowledge of MIG welding techniques
• Familiarity with operating plasma cutting machines and other fabrication equipment
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
