An Iron or Steel Worker installs iron or steel beams, girders or columns that create the structural frame for tall buildings, bridges or other large structures.
We are currently hiring experienced Fabricators to assemble boat structures and components. This role requires precision, skill, and a strong understanding of welding techniques specific to aluminum. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering drawings, and specifications. Measure, cut, shape, drill, and prepare aluminum, steel, fiberglass, or other materials according to production requirements. Fabricate boat components, including frames, decks, rail systems, consoles, brackets, flooring supports, and other structural assemblies. Assemble fabricated components using welding, fastening, riveting, adhesives, or other approved manufacturing methods. Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and gauges. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications. Identify and report defects, material shortages, or production concerns to supervisors. Operate fabrication equipment safely, including saws, presses, grinders, drill presses, shears, and other hand and power tools. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Work collaboratively with welders, assemblers, quality technicians, engineering, and production leadership to meet daily production goals. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and workflow. Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations. Crosstrain and perform other manufacturing duties as assigned to support production needs. QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Proven experience as a Fabricator, preferably in a boat manufacturing or marine environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. Strong knowledge of various fabricating techniques, processes, and equipment for aluminum. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problemsolving skills. Good manual dexterity and physical stamina. Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and take direction.
