        Competitive, based on experience About the Role Addison Group is seeking a CAD Technician with 1-3 years of relevant experience to support our landscape architecture team. This role is ideal for an early-career drafting professional who wants to strengthen technical expertise while contributing to residential landscape design projects. Working under the guidance of project managers and landscape architects, the CAD Technician will prepare and revise drawings, maintain organized project files, incorporate redlines, and assist with documentation throughout the design process. The successful candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, receptive to feedback, and enthusiastic about learning. Key Responsibilities
        • Prepare, revise, and organize AutoCAD drawings in accordance with company standards
        • Assist with existing-condition plans, site layouts, planting plans, hardscape plans, grading concepts, details, and construction documents
        • Translate sketches, field notes, design concepts, and redline markups into accurate drawings
        • Maintain drawing layers, blocks, file names, references, title sheets, and project folders
        • Complete revisions accurately and within established project schedules
        • Perform basic quantity takeoffs and drawing checks as directed
        • Assist with field measurements, site documentation, and occasional site visits
        • Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and other project deliverables
        • Communicate progress, questions, and potential conflicts to the project team
        • Participate in team reviews, training, and quality-control processes Required Qualifications
        • 1-3 years of professional experience producing CAD drawings in landscape architecture, architecture, civil design, engineering, construction, or a related field
        • Associate degree, technical certificate, or relevant coursework in CAD, drafting, landscape architecture, architecture, civil technology, or a related discipline
        • Working proficiency in AutoCAD
        • Understanding of scales, dimensions, line weights, layers, symbols, external references, and plan organization
        • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
        • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
        • Ability to follow established procedures, interpret redlines, and incorporate feedback accurately
        • Professional communication skills and a collaborative approach
        • Interest in landscape architecture, residential design, and the built environment Preferred Qualifications
        • Experience supporting site plans, grading plans, planting plans, construction details, or landscape design documents
        • Familiarity with SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
        • Knowledge of landscape materials, residential design, or field documentation
        • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating drafting ability and attention to detail Benefits
