Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Petroleum Equipment Service Technician specializing in gas station systems. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fueling equipment and associated systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. Your expertise in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems will drive the reliability of our clients' fueling infrastructure. Duties Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on petroleum dispensing equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic controls, sensors, and electrical components. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams - P&IDs), electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Diagnose and resolve equipment failures involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), vision inspection systems, and industrial automation components. Calibrate sensors, safety devices, and electrical instrumentation to ensure optimal performance according to manufacturer specifications. Read and interpret electrical schematics, control wiring diagrams, P&IDs, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting manuals to identify root causes of system malfunctions. Conduct electrical safety procedures during maintenance activities to ensure compliance with industry standards. Utilize precision measuring instruments for accurate diagnostics and adjustments on low voltage electrical systems. Maintain detailed records of all service activities, including inspections, repairs, calibrations, and system upgrades for client documentation. Experience Proven experience working with hydraulics, pneumatic systems, industrial electrician tasks, and electrical diagnostics within industrial or commercial settings. Strong mechanical knowledge related to petroleum equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with industrial controls including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), sensors, valves, motors, and actuators. Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), schematics for instrumentation systems, and electrical blueprints. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures specific to low voltage systems in industrial environments. Ability to use diagnostic tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical issues.
