Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pumper to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas industry. As a Pumper, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of pumping systems on oil rigs and production sites. Your role is vital in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable flow of hydrocarbons from well sites to processing facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your mechanical skills and safety expertise to support our operations and contribute to energy production. Duties Operate and monitor pumping systems, including vertical and horizontal pumps, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as tanks, pipelines, rigging, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tanker trucks to identify issues early Troubleshoot mechanical problems with pumps, piping, valves, and other related equipment to minimize downtime Manage the safe handling of heavy equipment operation on construction sites or oil rigs while adhering to OSHA standards Maintain accurate records of pump operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks Assist with crew management by coordinating tasks and ensuring team members follow safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection Support the setup and rigging of pipelines and pumping systems during installation or repair projects Requirements Proven experience working with pipeline systems, pumping operations, or oil rig environments Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tanker trucks in outdoor settings Knowledge of safety protocols including OSHA standards, PPE use, respiratory protection, and hazard awareness on construction or oil & gas sites Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial driving or tanker operations preferred Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques and construction site procedures is a plus Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety and efficiency standards Prior experience in oil & gas production or construction environments is highly desirable Join us as a Pumper and become a key player in delivering energy safely and efficiently!
