Commercial Industrial Corp. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to work at our limerock mine in Newberry, Florida . We are looking for a dependable, safety-minded operator as experience working around mines, quarries, crushing operations, or heavy civil construction. Primary Responsibilities Operate large excavators safely and efficiently. Feed crushers and other processing equipment with excavated material. Load dump trucks and haul trucks efficiently while maintaining proper load distribution. Excavate, move, stockpile, and manage limerock and other materials. Maintain a steady material supply to crushers to keep production moving. Perform general mine and pit work as directed. Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections. Identify and report equipment problems or maintenance needs. Maintain safe working distances around trucks, crushers, ground personnel, and other equipment. Follow all company safety policies and applicable MSHA requirements . Qualifications Heavy equipment operating experience required. Strong excavator experience is highly preferred. Experience loading trucks and feeding crushers preferred. Mine, quarry, aggregate, or heavy civil construction experience is a plus. Ability to safely operate large equipment in an active production environment. Must be dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance. Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather and around dust, noise, and heavy equipment. Must be willing to follow all safety and MSHA requirements. Must be able to pass applicable pre-employment requirements. Ideal Candidate We are particularly interested in an operator who has worked in a limerock mine, quarry, aggregate operation, or heavy civil construction environment and understands production. The right person will know how to efficiently feed a crusher, moving overburden, load trucks, handle large excavators, and work safely around other equipment without slowing down production.
