Job Description Construction Equipment Operator Amteck is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Equipment Operator to join our team in Carnesville, Georgia. The ideal candidate will safely operate and maintain a variety of construction equipment used in electrical construction activities. Previous equipment operation experience is required, and electrical construction experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Operate and maintain construction equipment including excavators, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, augers, and other heavy machinery. Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling activities in support of electrical construction projects. Follow project plans, specifications, and safety requirements to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately. Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine preventive maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation. Work closely with supervisors, foremen, and field crews to support project goals and schedules. Identify and report equipment issues, site hazards, and safety concerns promptly. Assist with general labor duties as needed, including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup. Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all company and project safety standards. Qualifications Previous experience operating construction equipment in a commercial, industrial, or utility construction environment. Knowledge of safe equipment operation practices and basic equipment maintenance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs. Electrical construction experience is a plus but not required.
