Job Description
About us K&G is currently searching for a Ground Position/Operator to join our team. The successful candidate must have experience with Excavators. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who is able to work independently, or with team members and is committed to maintaining product quality. The job locations will vary, we have a range of sites spanning throughout Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky. On the job training will be provided. Ground Position/Operators at our company have the unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be responsible for operating heavy equipment. This position requires an individual with advanced knowledge of construction equipment and excavation techniques as well as good communication skills. There is a weekly tonnage bonus available, and you are paid weekly. There is a

policy while using heavy equipment on site.Duties:
- Learn how to setup, move and operate the mobile pieces of machinery. This will include, mobile stackers, mobile screeners, mobile crushers, loaders, excavators, skid steers and possibly other types of equipment.
- Maintain and clean machinery on a daily basis this includes and is not limited to ,Greasing machines, Fueling machinery, checking and adding hydraulic fluid and Diesel Exhaust Fluid and cleaning off any loose material in locations that can cause a breakdown.
WILL BE DONE DAILY WITH NO EXCEPTION
) Pre-shifting all machinery is a must to maintain and to protect the machinery from failing.(AGAINTHIS IS MANDATORY AND MUST BEEN DONE ON A DAILY BASIS TO MAINTAIN SAFE AND GOOD RUNNING EQUIPMENT
)- You will also be responsible for watching all machinery while a setup is running to make sure that all belts have a even flow of material and that you do not see any leakage from catch hoppers rock boxes transfer points or discharge chutes or places where skirting/flashing has failed.
- You will also assist in the maintenance of all of the mobile machinery including hydraulic lines, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic motors, oil filters, fuel water separators, flashing/skirting, wear plates/liners, screen changes and blow bar replacement.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience is preferred
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Mining experience
- Prior MSHA training
