Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment to ensure efficient and safe project execution. Your expertise will help drive progress on construction sites, support the movement of materials, and contribute to the successful completion of diverse infrastructure projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to building quality structures and infrastructure. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, skid steers, and other machinery to perform grading, excavation, lifting, and material handling tasks. Manage the operation of construction vehicles including front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks to transport materials and equipment across job sites. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance. Assist in site preparation activities such as clearing land, leveling surfaces, and setting up work zones. Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate daily tasks and ensure timely project progress. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities. Requirements Proven experience operating construction machinery including bulldozers (dozer), loaders (front loader), backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving heavy vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks, or farm machinery. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures. Ability to read technical manuals and follow detailed instructions for equipment operation. Knowledge of construction materials like concrete mixers and familiarity with Caterpillar (CAT) machinery is preferred. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions. Join us in building the future!
