Heavy Equipment Operator For Prep Crew
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing crew, specializing in asphalt milling and grading. The ideal candidates are dependable, safety-focused, and skilled in operating heavy equipment on roadway and site construction projects. We are currently hiring for a foreman role that also operates. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, asphalt milling machines, motor graders, skid steers, loaders, and rollers Perform asphalt milling, fine grading, and base preparation Read and follow grade stakes, plans, and job specifications Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance Work closely with crew members and supervisors to meet project deadlines Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Follow all company policies and OSHA safety standards Requirements 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (asphalt milling or grading experience strongly preferred) Solid understanding of grade control and material placement Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license (Chauffeur Preferred) Willingness to work overtime as needed Reliable transportation and strong work ethic Preferred Qualifications Experience operating asphalt milling machines ( Wirtgen
