Experienced Equipment Operator

Overview Join our team at Total Excavation & Paving as an Experienced Equipment Operator and take charge of operating a wide range of heavy machinery to support site work and asphalt paving projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential and commercial properties, utilizing your expertise and construction site experience to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators and other construction machinery with precision and safety. Knowledge of GPS equipment is a plus but not required as we run TopCon systems in most of our equipment. Manage various trucks including dump trucks and end dumps to transport materials across and/or off the site. Read job plans and execute projects. Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, lifting, and material handling tasks on construction sites. Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines effectively. Maintain accurate records of equipment operation logs, maintenance schedules, and safety inspections. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, and similar machinery.

• GPS Experience is a plus
• Valid commercial driver's license.
• CDL is also a plus
• Ability to read job plans and execute a project with minimal direction.

Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
