Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic crew. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of machinery and heavy equipment (mainly excavators, grinders and wheel loaders) to support project completion efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will help ensure that activities proceed smoothly while adhering to all safety standards and regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your mechanical skills, and contribute making a difference. Responsibilities Operate machinery such as excavators, loaders, grinders and wheel loaders with precision and safety. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Handle materials using appropriate material following safety procedures. Follow all occupational safety regulations and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations. Assist with site setup, including positioning equipment and preparing work areas for working activities. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and compliance. Collaborate with team members to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, cranes, or similar equipment on construction sites. Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and routine maintenance procedures for various types of machinery. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and occupational safety standards. Ability to perform basic repairs using hand tools and understand construction site safety protocols. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly. Experience is highly desirable, and will base pay.
