Job Overview Join our dynamic
RECYCLING
team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and take charge of operating a wide range machinery to facilitate efficient and safe project execution. In this vital role, you will handle heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and dump trucks to support various construction activities. Your expertise will ensure that projects progress smoothly while adhering to safety standards and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects, utilizing your skills in equipment operation, maintenance, and safety compliance. Duties Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, cranes, backhoes, and dump trucks to perform earthmoving, material handling, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Handle materials efficiently using appropriate equipment such as water trucks, roll-off trucks, tankers, or farm machinery as required for project needs. Collaborate with site supervisors to execute project plans accurately while adhering to timelines and safety standards. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, maintenance activities, and safety compliance documentation. Skills Proven experience operating machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, cranes (including tower cranes), backhoes. Strong knowledge of hydraulics systems, mechanical maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques for heavy equipment. Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and conduct basic repairs using hand tools; familiarity with construction machinery maintenance best practices. Excellent understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and occupational health standards; diligent use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience with commercial truck driving including operation of dump trucks, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, tankers, and other specialized vehicles. Skilled in material handling equipment operation such as forklifts and telehandlers for efficient site logistics. Mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to follow detailed instructions for equipment safety procedures and maintenance routines. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
