Heavy-Duty Tow Driver — Earn Up to $135,000/Year $33-$37/hour + competitive commission | Full-Time | CDL-A Required If you know how to handle heavy equipment, stay calm when the pressure is on, and take pride in doing the job right, we want to hear from you. We're looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Tow Driver to join our team. This is a hands-on role operating heavy-duty wreckers, rollbacks, and recovery vehicles with a GVWR over 26,000 lbs. You'll respond to towing, transport, roadside, and recovery calls while working closely with our Dispatch team to provide safe, professional service when our customers need it most. This isn't just another driving job. It's an opportunity to put your CDL, experience, problem-solving skills, and professionalism to work — with strong earning potential of up to $135,000 per year. Compensation & Schedule $33-$37 per hour Competitive commission structure Earning potential up to $135,000/year Standard 40-hour workweek Weekend availability is required On-call availability is required Holiday availability may be needed based on business demands What You'll Do As a Heavy-Duty Tow Driver, you'll be trusted to safely operate company equipment, assist customers in challenging situations, and represent our company professionally on every call.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provide heavy-duty towing, recovery, transport, and roadside assistance safely and efficiently. Complete scheduled towing, transport, pickup, and delivery assignments. Respond to customer concerns calmly, professionally, and with a solutions-first approach. Work closely with Dispatch to coordinate calls, routes, timing, and job requirements. Perform required DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections . Maintain accurate driver logs, trip sheets, and required weekly documentation. Navigate efficiently using GPS, maps, route planning, and written or verbal instructions. Follow all DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and applicable traffic laws. Follow proper accident and incident procedures when necessary. Protect and properly maintain company vehicles, equipment, merchandise, and other assets. Complete and submit required towing and delivery documentation through Towbook . Properly handle and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials when required. Keep your assigned truck clean, professional, and ready to work . Report mechanical or equipment issues to management immediately. Complete dispatch and administrative paperwork accurately and on time. Assist with additional duties and recovery needs as assigned. What We're Looking For We need a driver who is dependable, safety-focused, mechanically capable, and comfortable taking ownership of the job from dispatch through completion. Required Qualifications Valid CDL-A Doubles/Triples endorsement No Automatic Transmission restriction Current DOT Medical Card Clean driving record Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience Ability to safely and confidently operate heavy-duty vehicles and equipment Strong communication and customer-service skills Ability to work independently while also being a reliable part of the team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work weekends, on-call rotations, and holidays as needed High school diploma or equivalent Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to use common tools Strongly Preferred Hazmat endorsement Tanker endorsement Previous heavy-duty towing, recovery, transport, or roadside experience Why Join Our Team?
