Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Excavator Operator for a one-day construction project. This role is perfect for someone with hands-on experience operating heavy machinery, particularly excavators, and who is eager to contribute to a dynamic construction environment. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for executing excavation tasks efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and equipment procedures. Your expertise will help ensure the project progresses smoothly and safely from start to finish. Responsibilities Operate excavators and other construction machinery with precision, following project plans and safety guidelines Perform excavation tasks such as trenching, grading, and site clearing in accordance with construction specifications Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment, including Caterpillar excavators and loaders, to ensure optimal performance Utilize utility locating tools to identify underground utilities before digging to prevent damage or accidents Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times during operation Assist with construction site setup, including grading and backhoe operation as needed Maintain detailed logs of work performed, equipment usage, and safety inspections throughout the day Experience Proven experience operating excavators and heavy construction machinery in a construction setting Knowledge of construction utility work, excavation techniques, and site grading processes Familiarity with construction safety regulations, including federal standards for heavy equipment operation Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and identify potential issues early Prior experience with loader operation, backhoe operation, and general construction site work is preferred Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving is a plus Join us for this exciting opportunity to showcase your heavy equipment expertise!
