As a Winter Skid Steer/Loader Operator , you'll be responsible for efficiently clearing snow from commercial parking lots, loading areas, and other designated locations while ensuring every property meets our high standards of service. Key Responsibilities Safely operate skid steers equipped with snow pushers, buckets, or snow blowers to remove snow from commercial properties. Stack, relocate, and manage snow piles to maximize parking availability and maintain site safety. Clear loading docks, parking lots, drive lanes, and designated areas according to customer specifications. Apply de-icing materials when required. Respond to snow dispatches within 30 minutes of being contacted. Work overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts during snow events. Conduct daily inspections of skid steers and attachments before each shift. Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance concerns promptly. Accurately log completed services using a tablet. Communicate with supervisors regarding property conditions, equipment issues, and completed work. Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures. Assist with other seasonal property maintenance duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age Valid New York State Driver's License (CDL is a plus but not required) Previous skid steer or heavy equipment operating experience required Experience with snow removal operations preferred Ability to look over shoulder, twist, and turn body/neck repeatedly for long hours Ability to safely drive in snow, ice, and challenging winter conditions Ability to work extended hours during snow events Ability to lift 50 pounds. Willingness to be on call to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Reliable transportation to report for work Must be able to use a tablet for service documentation Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
