Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery (Mainly bulldozer) to facilitate construction projects, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality work. Your expertise in handling construction equipment and adherence to safety standards will contribute directly to the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to excellence in the construction industry. Duties Operate a wide range of construction machinery including bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks. (Mainly bulldozer) Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery and handling materials. Assist in site preparation activities such as clearing land, leveling surfaces, and setting up construction zones. Coordinate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment. Handle various types of trucks including concrete mixers, tanker trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks for material transportation. Use hand tools and hydraulics systems for minor repairs or adjustments to equipment as needed. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, backhoes, and other material handling equipment. Construction site experience with knowledge of safety procedures and equipment maintenance practices. Valid driver's license. Mechanical knowledge related to hydraulics, equipment troubleshooting, and basic repairs. Familiarity with occupational safety regulation compliance and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to read technical manuals and follow detailed instructions for equipment operation and maintenance. Strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
