Pay:
$24-$26/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
Hours:
40+ hours/week, with overtime as needed

Job Description
We are seeking a dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. This position combines grounds maintenance, facility support, and heavy equipment operation, with approximately 50% of the work involving the operation of heavy machinery.
The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, including in hot weather. Training will be provided for candidates with limited heavy equipment experience who demonstrate a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as:
Forklifts
Backhoes
Skid steers
Dozers
Rollers
Motor graders
Man lifts
Perform general grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, debris removal, and landscaping support.
Assist with material movement, site preparation, and facility maintenance projects.
Perform routine inspections of equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Assist with minor maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
Participate in training to develop and improve heavy equipment operating skills.
Work both indoors and outdoors, including in hot weather conditions.
Qualifications
Prior heavy equipment operating experience is preferred but not required.
Valid driver's license required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability and willingness to learn new equipment and job duties.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and move materials as required.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb throughout the workday.
Ability to safely operate heavy equipment for extended periods.
Must be comfortable working in outdoor heat and other weather conditions.
Ability to wear required PPE throughout the workday.

Candidates must have:
Steel-toe boots
Safety vest
Hard hat
Safety glasses
Work gloves
Pre-Employment Requirements
5-panel drug screen required
Background check required
No specific certifications or state licenses required.
Overtime
Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. Overtime is paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
