Overhead Crane Inspector Location:
Houston, TX 77060 About Us We are a well-established and respected manufacturer of overhead cranes, known for our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. As we continue to grow, we're seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team and support our mission of delivering superior products and service. Position Overview We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Inspector to perform safety inspections and certifications on cranes and rigging equipment at customer sites. This role requires excellent technical knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring equipment safety and compliance. Key Duties and Responsibilities Travel to customer locations to conduct inspections on: Overhead cranes Jib cranes Gantry cranes Monorail cranes Perform inspections on a scheduled basis: annual, bi-annual, quarterly, and monthly. Conduct rigging inspections on customer equipment including slings, chains, shackles, etc. Perform load test certifications for cranes as required. Identify and communicate any code violations to customers clearly and professionally. Maintain accurate records of inspections and certifications. Foster and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers while on-site. Qualifications Prior experience in crane and rigging inspection or a related field strongly preferred. Knowledge of applicable safety codes and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, ASME, CMAA). Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and inspection criteria. Strong communication and customer service skills. Detail-oriented and safety-conscious. Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites (local and regional travel required). Certification in crane inspection (preferred but not required—training can be provided for the right candidate).
