Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and dozers, to support construction projects. This role requires a strong focus on equipment safety, maintenance, and adherence to safety regulations. The Heavy Equipment Operator must be self-sufficient, capable of reading plans, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, and dozers efficiently and safely. Perform routine maintenance on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Follow all safety procedures and regulations related to equipment operation and construction site safety. Use hand tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) properly to ensure safety during daily tasks. Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to execute project requirements accurately. Maintain a clean and organized work area around equipment to promote safety and efficiency. Be self-sufficient in managing daily tasks, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and ensuring operational readiness. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, and dozers. Ability to read plans and blueprints accurately. Knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures and safety regulations. Familiarity with hand tools and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety standards. Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for operating machinery and performing manual tasks in various weather conditions.
