As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for guiding a team of painters, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering exceptional finishes that meet client specifications. Your expertise in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and project management will drive the success of our projects while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example and contribute to transforming spaces with precision and artistry. Duties Lead and coordinate painting crews on multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, cleaning, drywall repair, caulking, and stucco application to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying and conventional spray techniques), and power tools for efficient coverage Conduct construction site surface preparation for various substrates such as drywall, fixtures, and structural elements Ensure compliance with safety regulations by enforcing proper use of respiratory protection, harnesses, ladders, and other safety equipment Skills Extensive experience in construction estimating related to painting projects and material needs Proficiency in residential painting techniques including brush painting and roller application Skilled in surface preparation methods such as drywall finishing, caulking, and fixture installation Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), and scaffolding safely and effectively Strong understanding of safety regulations specific to construction painting environments; committed to safety protocol adherence Good basic math skills for measurements and calculations during project planning Familiarity with renovation projects involving remodeling or site upgrades; experience with drywall finishing is a plus Join us as a Lead Painter where your craftsmanship will elevate spaces while leading a motivated team.
