Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, drywall installation, and surface repairs to ensure optimal adhesion. Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and color schemes to execute precise painting projects aligned with project requirements. Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (conventional and airless), and construction spray techniques for efficient coverage. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and fixture installation equipment safely to access hard-to-reach areas. Perform structural painting tasks such as stucco application, masonry coating, and industrial painting to protect surfaces from environmental damage. Conduct surface preparation in accordance with safety regulations including the use of respiratory protection and adherence to safety protocols on construction sites. Manage multiple projects by estimating materials needed through construction estimating skills while maintaining quality standards throughout each phase of the job. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies by following safety protocol adherence consistently. Collaborate with team members on remodeling, renovation, maintenance projects, and fixture installations to deliver comprehensive solutions. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly. Experience Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of color theory and visual color comparison techniques. Familiarity with construction site experience including surface preparation for drywall, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and masonry work. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), roller painting, brush painting, and conventional spray systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately for precise application of coatings on various surfaces. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection and safe ladder use. Experience in industrial or commercial painting projects involving coating applications on large-scale structures or fixtures. Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material quantities efficiently. Skilled in fixture installation, frame carpentry basics, drywall finishing, masonry work, and general handyman tasks as needed for comprehensive project completion.
