LEAD PAINTER & PAINTER HELPER DAM
Fine Carpentry Job Type:
Full-Time Pay:
$13.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience DAM Fine Carpentry is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as a Lead Painter and Painter Helper. We work primarily on residential projects and are looking for team members who take pride in quality workmanship, pay close attention to detail, and can work efficiently as part of a team. Professional painting experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate for the Painter Helper position. Drywall experience is a HUGE plus for either position.
LEAD PAINTER RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Painter will be responsible for completing and helping oversee residential painting projects from preparation through completion. Responsibilities may include : Interior and exterior residential painting Preparing surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, and priming Applying paint using brushes, rollers, and other appropriate equipment Protecting floors, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding work areas Mixing and matching paint as needed Performing drywall patches and minor drywall repairs when experienced Inspecting completed work for quality and ensuring proper coverage and finish Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite Properly cleaning and maintaining painting tools and equipment Assisting with material and supply organization Communicating professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers Helping guide or train less-experienced painters and helpers when needed Following company procedures and jobsite safety requirements
LEAD PAINTER QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of residential painting experience preferred Professional painting experience strongly preferred Drywall installation, repair, patching, or finishing experience is a major plus Strong knowledge of surface preparation and proper painting techniques Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to follow project instructions and meet deadlines Valid driver's license Reliable transportation to and from work and/or assigned jobsites Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting materials and equipment
PAINTER HELPER RESPONSIBILITIES
The Painter Helper will assist painters and lead painters with preparation, painting, cleanup, and general jobsite duties.
Responsibilities may include:
Preparing rooms and work areas for painting Moving and covering furniture and protecting floors and surfaces Taping, masking, sanding, scraping, caulking, patching, and priming Assisting with interior and exterior painting Carrying and organizing paint, tools, ladders, and materials Cleaning brushes, rollers, equipment, and work areas Assisting with drywall repairs and preparation when needed Maintaining a clean and safe jobsite Following instructions from the Lead Painter and supervisors Learning proper painting, preparation, and finishing techniques Performing other duties related to residential painting and remodeling projects as assigned
PAINTER HELPER QUALIFICATIONS
Previous professional painting or construction experience preferred but not required Willing to train the right candidate Drywall experience is a major plus Willingness to learn and take direction Strong work ethic Dependable and punctual Strong attention to detail Ability to work well with others Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working on ladders

COMPENSATION
Starting pay ranges from $13.00-$30.00 per hour and is based on position, experience, skill level, and demonstrated ability. This is a full-time position.
