Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and structural projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure durable protection of surfaces. Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, plastering, drywall repair, caulking, and surface priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to accurately execute painting tasks aligned with project requirements. Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, hand tools, paint sprayers (conventional spraying), and construction spray painting techniques for efficient coverage. Perform structural painting tasks such as coating beams, columns, stucco surfaces, and other building elements to enhance durability and appearance. Conduct surface preparation for renovation projects by removing old paint, repairing damaged areas, and ensuring surfaces meet safety regulations before painting begins. Use ladders and power tools safely to access hard-to-reach areas while following strict safety protocol adherence and respiratory protection guidelines. Assist with additional handyman tasks such as fixture installation, trim carpentry, stucco work, plastering, drywall finishing, caulking, and basic remodeling or maintenance duties as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects and material requirements. Expertise in color theory for selecting appropriate hues and achieving desired visual effects. Proven experience in residential painting along with commercial and structural surface coating projects. Proficiency in handling hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), and other application equipment safely and effectively. Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including respiratory protection practices and proper use of fall protection equipment like ladders. Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as drywall finishing, plastering, caulking application, stucco work, fixture installation, and restoration projects. Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities; experience with blueprint reading is a plus. Knowledge of maintenance procedures related to remodeling projects or ongoing building upkeep; handyman experience is advantageous.
