Messer Construction is seeking a Process & Utility Piping Laborer to support complex commercial and industrial building projects. In this role, you'll assist experienced pipefitters with layout, material handling, cutting, and installation of process and utility piping systems while following strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, staging and rigging materials, reading basic drawings, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Responsibilities Assist with installation of process and utility piping on commercial and industrial projects Measure, cut, and prepare pipe and fittings under direction of pipefitters Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain tools and equipment Handle, stage, and rig materials in accordance with site safety standards Support layout, labeling, and basic reading of drawings and isometric sketches Perform housekeeping to keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Follow Messer safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations Collaborate with foremen and trades to meet schedule and quality expectations Participate in training and toolbox talks to improve skills and safety awareness Required Skills Industrial piping installation Process and utility piping systems Pipe fitting Use of power and hand tools Reading construction drawings Rigging and material handling Safety procedures and OSHA compliance Basic welding or soldering Measurement and layout Construction site cleanup
