Responsibilities:

• Assist pipefitters in the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems
• Measure, cut, and thread pipes using hand tools and power tools
• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of pipe sections, fittings, and fixtures
• Assist in the installation of valves, pumps, and other mechanical equipment
• Follow blueprints, specifications, and codes to ensure proper installation
• Perform basic welding tasks using Stick welding techniques
• Clean and maintain work area and tools

Experience:

• Previous experience as a pipefitter helper or similar role is not required
• Knowledge of welding techniques
• Familiarity with tube bending methods and equipment
• Mechanical knowledge and understanding of pipefitting principles
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, threading, and fabricating pipes
• Ability to solder and braze pipes and fittings
• Familiarity with codes and standards related to pipefitting work
